I Believe

I am, like most people, chasing my dream. I have poured myself into Idi – the main character of my story. Growing up with dyslexia made me feel stupid, and that stigma stayed with me for most of my life. I did, at the age of 40, start turning my attitude and my life around. A lot of my own story is on my facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/tracy.traynor.9 I have put that story of overcoming low self-esteem into a young orphan boy called Idi, and through my books take him on a magical adventure to discover not only that he is a powerful magician but that he is worthy of love.

My Christian beliefs also dance in the background of the story for those who would see. The three clans of witches represent Christians, Jews and Muslims. I would throw out into the world of the young, explorative mind, that there is good in all people if only we could understand. I don’t think, unless you read this, that you would pick up on my beliefs as I don’t wish to push my opinion onto anyone, but my hope in humanity is there between each line, as is my love for storytelling. If you could find the time to read Idi & the Oracle’s Quest and leave me a review I would be eternally grateful.

I believe…

I believe that words are containers of power.

I believe that God made us in His image, so just as He spoke and the world was created, then when we speak we create.

Genesis 1:26   Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Do we create good or bad?  That depends on the words we say.

John 17:21   Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Here Jesus clearly states that we are in God.  How is this possible?  By DNA.  My parents are in me in the build up of my dna which I pass onto my children.  We are all connected.  We accept earthly dna without question, I wonder what kind of world we would live in if we would accept our Heavenly dna in the same way.

But whether we acknowledge it or not, when we speak we release power into the atmosphere.  Just be interested in someone and praise them for their endeavours, watch them respond, you are building their confidence and changing the way they see themselves, this is, without doubt, releasing power into their lives.

We should keep this in mind and be watchful of the things we say, especially about ourselves.  A selffulfilling prophecy is a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true, by the very terms of the prophecy itself, due to positive feedback between belief and behavior.

People say ‘be careful what you wish for’ but I say …. be careful what you say.
